COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Oct. 16, 2018 — X-IO Technologies today announced it has signed a Letter of Intent with Violin Systems, LLC to sell its X-IO Intelligent Storage Element (ISE) business and renamed itself Axellio Inc., an independent company that will focus exclusively on advancing its rapidly-growing edge-computing and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) business.
The Axellio FabricXpress™ platform was introduced in May 2017 as an edge-computing platform for streaming big data analytics. The technology has since been evolved into multiple solution platforms for use as Edge MicroClouds, HCI, and MicroDataCenters.
Today, Axellio customers are testing and deploying Axellio solutions to solve problems with throughput, latency, capacity, space, power, cooling and transportability in edge data capture, streaming analytics, cybersecurity, visualization, virtual and augmented reality, and other applications across finance, defense, aerospace, healthcare, transportation, retail, manufacturing, and entertainment industries. Recognized for its affordability, performance simplicity, and availability, Axellio has developed an ecosystem of partners around its edge-computing platform.
Axellio Inc. will operate as a separate company in the same location with many former X-IO employees who have been developing the edge computing platform for the past three years.
